Lipo racing batts question

Is it okay to have a Lipo batterry charged a day before you run the battery?

Yes. If I know that I'm gonna be doing a lot of running the next day, I charge packs ahead of time. Just don't let them sit fully charged for long periods of time, or shortening the lifespan of the pack will result.

Opinions will vary. Is it good to leave a lipo sit fully charged for long periods of time, NO. Is ONE day a long time, not in my opinion. Are you likely to see an increase in performance between when you run it after letting it sit charged for a day and your second run after recharging it, yes. In my opinion.

When do you cycle your Lipo batts?

If you're into buy high end competition (80c+) lipos and serious about longevity, then I would say no, don't charge the packs the day before. Typically packs like these are encouraged to be discharged a couple hours after being charged. But if you're into buying cheaper (30c and less) lipos, then charge a day before if you want. But I wouldn't leave them fully charged for longer than a couple days.

hers a link to how i think lipos should be treated.http://www.promatchracing.com/faqs-dandd.php
