Pit charger

HI I'm looking to get a charger for racing, I need it to charge lipo/life. I have a big dynamite that works great but it's huge. I'm using a little crappy dynamite at the moment but he won't charge over 3.5amps for some reason. I would like a charger that has a very small footprint and charge at 6.5 amps or more. I'm not trying to spend over 120.00 and really would like a new one not used.
Thanks for any help, my pit table neighbor uses a orion that looks like something I would be interested in if the price is right.

I use this and love it http://www.hobbypartz.com/75p-ac0620-ac-charger-ii.html
It also has a IR indicator to help you determine battery health / performance.

Hitec x1 touch http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...w5IaAuN08P8HAQ

or if your willing to spend 20$ more the Hitec x1 pro is a real nice no frills dc charger that gets the job done very clean and small footprint.

What is IR indicator?

Internal resistance?

I'm not a fan of venom batteries but the new charger they have out looks nice. It does life which is nice for transmitter and receiver packs. it also does 2 batts at once which is nice. The reason I say I don't like venom batts. is because I've seen a lot of them puff and I had a balance plug break off in one(which may of been my fault). The footprint of the newer venom is also a big plus.

Hope this helps. From Roger's Hobby Center....

Internal Resistance: The Mystery Number

There is one very important rating we haven't talked about yet: Internal Resistance (or IR). Problem is, you won't find the IR rating anywhere on the battery. That's because the internal resistance of a battery changes over time, and sometimes because of the temperature. However, just because you can't read the rating on the battery doesn't mean it isn't important. In a way, the internal resistance is one of the most important ratings for a battery.
To understand why the IR is important, we have to understand what it is. In simple terms, Internal Resistance is a measure of the difficulty a battery has delivering its energy to your motor and speed control (or whatever else you have a battery hooked up to). The higher the number, the harder it is for the energy to reach its preferred destination. The energy that doesn't "go all the way" is lost as heat. So the internal resistance is kind of a measure of the efficiency of the battery.

If you are racing you will want an iCharger with a good power supply.
