Need help choosing a steering servo
Just got an xray xb2
I run a Futaba radio system. 4pls transmitter with Futaba R204GF-E High Voltage 2.4GHz S-FHSS 4-Channel Micro Receive I saw this Savox servo and like the price. https://www.amainhobbies.com/savox/b728 Concerned about the "brownout" thing they have in the description. Anybody have experience with this combo? |
I have never had any issues running savox servos with Futuba radio gear.

xpert servos work awesome!

I use the Savox. For the price it is nice. I have also used a ProTek RC 100SS. Another cheap servo but it works. But for a little more I go with the Savox.

I'm not sure exactly which servo you're referring to(the link is not working, & using copy/paste just took me to the list of ALL Savox servos at A-Main). but I have two of them now, both in buggies(first one is this: https://www.amainhobbies.com/savox-s...1251mg/p183313 , & this is the other: https://www.amainhobbies.com/savox-s...1mg-be/p467063 ), & I've been very happy with them both so far, no brownouts at all(& I also use a 4PLS radio with the R204GF-E receiver, & Hobbywing V3.1 Stock Spec ESC's for both). If you're looking to save a little on servos, I'd give those two a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed....

I've been using Protek servos in my 2 buggies.... now I need another one for my dirt buggy. I've had good experience with the Protek ones but thinking of getting a Savox since I've seen a lot of happy consumers here. Does each Savox servo come with an aluminum servo horn? The Protek ones have it. |
All the Savox servos I've purchased had the normal assortment of plastic horns.
The Savox brownout is fairly well documented. Spend a few more dollars and get a glitch buster/capacitor. Or you can build your own for a few dollars. |
Protek 100SS
