Spektrum SM1001 binding problems

I just bought a electric touring car with a futaba 3pks radio. The guy I bought it from showed me everything worked and had no problems Friday when I picked it up from him. I charged the battery yesterday morning and went to go run it in the driveway but the tx/rx are not communicating. I've tried to bind them but no luck. The receiver is a spektrum sr301 and the module is a sm1001. The receiver green led blinks fast like it should for binding mode but when I press the bind button on the module and turn the radio on nothing happens.

I got it figured out. Kinda. I was turning on the display to the radio not the power itself. Guess that's what I get for getting this fancy thing. Lol. Now the steering is working but no throttle. There's a couple red lights blinking on the esc. Tekin RS. It's my understanding that the lights blinking 1, 2 & 6 & 7 indicates wrong motor or a bad esc. Does anyone have any experience with a Tekin rs esc?

You gota tell which motor you are using. Brushed or brushless. Mode 6 on set up in manual. If don't have manual, you can DL od Tekins web.

Once you get this correct motor. You have to Calibrate the ESC. you'll be fine after.

Ok. I appreciate the help. It was working fine when I picked the car up on Friday. Not sure what would've caused it to change. The guy I bought the car from is sending me a hotwire so I can set it up again.
