Mixing digital and analog servos?

This question has probably been beat to death. I don’t know, my search didn’t turn up anything so I thought just ask.

Is there anything wrong with mixing digital and analog servos?

I’m putting together an X Ray XB8 that already has a nice servo in the steering, an Airtronics 94359 which is analog according to what I found online.

I’m using an Airtronics MT-4 and a JR DSZ9100HVS for the T/B and that’s all digital.

On a different car but same kind of question, anything wrong with hooking up a digital servo to one of those older 27mhz radios that also has an analog servo?

No problem, but some things to keep in mind:

1) analog servo's do not work on a high framerate. If you have a high end transmitter set it back to a normal (20mS) framerate.

2) digital servo's can draw some current. The older AM receivers can have an internal BEC like theFutaba R122-JE which probably can not handle powerfull digital servo's.

The digital servo I hooked up was a Spektrum 6020, not HV, only 6v to an Airtronics MX3 so that's probably ok I guess.

I'll have to check on it with the MT4 if I can set up the frame rates separately: T/B as one fr setting and steering as another. That would be cool if I can.

I tested it last night and it seemed to work but that was just on a table.
