Motor Only goes fast when in reverse

Hi all, Im having a real big headache with a Hobbyking One Cell 120a (1st Gen) in my Buggy. Basically when going forward the led will flash green and the motor will go forward at about half speed, then when I go to reverse the motor will go full power. Ive tried reversing the radio to get it the other way which it does, however the ESC is still doing the same thing, and when it is reversed I have no braking and it just goes straight to what is now reverse. Ive tried swapping motor wires to no avail, and when i try re calibrating the esc when i reverse the radio it will have none of it. Im at a lost of what to do.

I will add that I do have the timing on the motor all the way over on one side, if that makes any difference

Reverse your throttle in the radio and then recalibrate.

Motor wires have to be A to A, B to B, and C to C, no switching. Once you reverse the throttle in the radio, you must re-calibrate to ESC. Make sure your EPA's on the radio are turned up to 100% too before calibrating.
