DX4C binding/battery problem
 

I purchased a Spektrum DX4C to use with my Mugen MBX7r nitro buggy. I've read the manual regarding the binding process, but need a bit of help. I have setup the electronics same as the manual for a nitro model (Battery straight into batt/bind port and the steering & throttle plugged in the correct ports). My question is: If the battery and bind plug go into the same port, how do I power the receiver and bind at the same time?

unplug a servo and plug the batt in through either the throttle or steering port.
