Receiver and transmitter won't bind

So I purchased a TeamAssociated XP2G transmitter/receiver combo. The transmitter is a XP TRS403-sst.
When I try to bind them, I'm getting nothing. I've followed the instructions and tried again and again but it's like they aren't communicating at all. The light on the receiver should blink green and red but only flashes orange once when I turn it on. I'm also running a Reedy SC600-BL esc on the car...it's a B5m by the way. Anyone have this same issue? Please help!

you are holding the bind button on the transmitter and then turning on the transmitter right?

transmitter needs to be in bind mode before you hold the button on the receiver and then turn on the receiver power

Yes, I am holding the bind button on the transmitter while I turn it on-the light then flashes green and red as it should. I then do the same thing on the receiver but the light just flashes orange once and then there is nothing.

Transmitter think your ok with. RX is different, press the bind on RX, should Flash LED, Keep pressing RX bind till it becomes a Solid LED. It may take 30sec or so. When LED go out, think it timed out. Try again till you get solid LED.

I got it! I had the wire insert going into the receiver backwards-you'd think it would have a notch on it or something to prevent you from even being able to put it in backwards.

Loss of signal

So I Purchased a TeamAssociated XP2G transmitter/receiver combo. The receiver is a XP TRS403-sst. After finally getting the dang thing to finally bind, I took it out for a test run. Unfortunately I lose signal at about 20 feet. I have to them walk up to the car and don't get a return of signal until I get a few feet from the car. Any ideas on what's going on? I've checked the antenna and it seems completely intact.

Go through your bind sequence again. After you bind it, you need to do the ESC calibration process to calibrate the ESC to the radio. Also, make the battries and good.

Thanks! I was also told to try binding outside with the car and transmitter further away from one another. I calibrated the ESC already but will try that again. Batteries are all good. Thanks again

How is the receiver antenna routed? End of the wire not bent over?

I'd contact Associated. Their service is generally quite good.
