Savox servo disassembly?
Has anyone tried repairing their servos? I had one of mine go completely dead after over jumping a bigger double this weekend. I think it may have shorted to ground because the wires were under the front brace and they have some insulation removed.
I have it taken apart to a certain extent, but can't get the board out. I have all the gears off, motor screws taken off from the top, but it looks like their is a potentiometer in there maybe holding me from getting the guts out. Anyone take these apart? Even if I can't fix it, it would be cool to see and learn. |
You have to desolder some contacts:

Has anyone troubleshot a servo that went dead? I overshot a large double in my Tekno E-Buggy and when I landed, I was out of steering. Got back to the pits and the servo lead was under the front brace and I feel it must have got pinched pretty good. If the power and ground were to short for a split second I'm trying to figure out what component would go because of that. There must be a fail safe, although likely not replaceable to the everyday joe right?

At one moment the motors were weak, the brushes burned out.
