Help with setup video on page 2
 
Hello I'm having problems with my spectrum stuff .
Here's my combo
Spectrum dx4r pro
Sr2000 receiver
Spectrum 6290 servo
Rx8 gen 2 with 1900kv motor
4s lipo
I bind the remote to the receiver then I try to get the car going the car works the steering is twitching and is super sensitive and I feel like it's moving on its own at times. I've been out of rc cars for over 20 years and I don't know what's going on. Any help would be great. I've been reading the books trying to figure out this problem but I can't find it maybe it's just a setting I'm missing

After binding w/o steering and ESC disconnected, your next step is Calibrating RX8. Then set up your parameters. If confuse about Power, use the AA battery cage that comes with radio system.

Isn't the motor limit on 4s, RX8, 3000kv???? 1900kv you can run 2s where it is unlimited.

Rx8 gen 2 is fine 1900kv at 4s.

Well this car moves real well I just can't figure out why the servo is twitching. Everything is new Ive followed the instructions with everything.

The steering is super sensitive and the servos is like its on crack cant just stay still

Have you checked the BEC voltage on the ESC? I've noticed when I put mine on 7.4 the steering servo is a little nervous and sings to me. I'm installing a glitch buster but that won't be until I get back from vacation in 12 days or I'd let you know how that works out. In case you're wondering a glitch buster is a capacitor that plugs into an unused channel on the receiver and is supposed to smooth out the power to stop the twitching.

interesting maybe Ill try that. Anyone else have any info on helping with the dx4r pro the steering is super sensitive any way to calm it down a bit

Ck EPA make sure you are not overextending the steering, and play with the servo speed if too sensitive. Could be static from cooling fan, relocate the ESC.

I'm sorry but what is epa? I ordered a glitch buster to try if that doesn't work Ill try moving the esc to the rear of the car and move the battery up. Thanks for the help Ill mess with servo speed tomorrow

End Point Adjustment. It adjust travel of servo L/R lock to lock or keep the servos from buzzing and or overheating. set at 100% to start, can go down to 85-90%, depend on servo travel. Make sure steering components are free, no binding. Can also cause the chatter/ twitching or servo difficult for it to find home position.

Ok I'll take a look at that later also. Man these cars have come a long way in 20 plus years.

Been in Nitro since '83 with Serpent Quattro And vintage AE RC10 Gold bucket. From AM To FM To 2.4Ghz, From NiCd To NiMh To Lipo's to Life. It has advance to the Millennium. Servo twitchy cuz maybe steering components free from binding. Or if your the plastic geared servo. May have to upgrade to a MG,HT,HS,BB servo.

Electronics has change 6 years, Its like Computers and Microsoft. Gotta keep up with upgrades. It change cosmetically, but is still doing the same thing as FM system, Just Binding the major part. Or leasing a Porsche every year!!!! Guys like us, we just keep up with the Jone's.

Just have fun with the hobby!!! I'm still doing it!!!

My servo is a spectrum 6290 all metal cases and geared I emailed spectrum and they told me to try something in the remote which I wil do when I get home also thank you for the help I'll get this all figured out

You know remote adjustments on remote I said you may try. The other thing is Mechanical. Remove Servo horn and see if it fluctuates. if in doesn't, you know there a problem in the steering linkage or steering knuckles or suspension

I got that glitch buster in and fail this thing is still going wako and twitching. I unplugged the fan on the esc to see if there was interference. Nothing still the same.

Disconnect the servo horn, if twitching stop there binding the steering linkage. It still twitches you servo flaky.
