Great price but ordering from Europe costs additional expensive customs taxes...

Radio feels maybe a little more solid than the MT4. The rx is very cool though. Footprint is the smallest of any i have ever had. Menus seem to be a little easier to get through as well. Not sure ill get to try it this weekend though.

So I got one for my wife and here is my experience with it.
I'll be giving you a biased opinion since I use a MT4S on the daily lol.
The first impression is that it feels a lot cheaper than the MT4S.
Plastics seems to feel harder to the touch and wheel is more rigid even after tensions springs adjustment. The little button on the side of the screen take some time to get use to.
There is no knob or lever so to me it was a bit of bummer to adjust gyros and other accessories but no biggie as I assigned it to a trim button.
Interface is very good, just like you would expect from Sanwa. Slightly confusing on some but you get the hang of it really quick.
The stuff that beat the MT4S was the initial setup wizard. You hold the menu button while turning it on and it start a configuration wizard that will basically setup the remote for your application. That include configuration of the SSL with the super vortex ESCs and Sanwa Gyros, but it also include crawler setup for dual ESCs, 1/5 scale config for gas, and of course nitro.
That to me, is worth a thousand bucks!
Now onto the caca stuff.
After 3 hours the wheel spring came loose, and at that time I had not even adjusted it yet. I had to take the radio apart which is always scary, and eventually after a good 45 minutes of messing around, I got it back in. Inside I can tell you it's not as fancy as an MT4S or M12. It's all mechanical bits rather than circuit boards.
Other con, you can't change the grip, and that could be an issue for some. It doesn't bother me so much as it is for my wife so it's all good.
My final note is if you are a newb wanting a lot more than a basic 2CH radio without paying a hefty price for a 3 or 4 channel, then this is for you as it is super easy to setup.
IF you are an advanced driver that want a backup, this could do also.
However if you are a seasoned driver, I'd stick to an MT4S.

I'm really tempted by the MT4S. I made the maths, even with customs taxes, it cheaper and better than ordering the MT4S locally (only sold with a RX-472, I need to order a RX-481 separately...)

We got numerous questions from several guys if our existing MT4/MT4S wheel drop down will work on a MTS. At this point we don't know because we don't have one in our hands to confirm that it works on it.
The other question we have for MTS owners, are these radios being used for racing? and thus a drop down is desired?
We appreciate your feedback.
Thank you.

For sure it will be raced. This is my only radio. I don't see why it wouldn't be. I had a friend drive my car this weekend who uses the M12 and he had no problem adjusting. For typical on and offroad i really don't see the need for 90% of the features in most radios. The high end ones in my mind are moe about status than features.

Ok, this new Sanwa is very interesting to me! Just not completely sold on it just yet! I had ordered one at the LHS and cancelled after reading some reviews about it being cheap!
Having said that, I currently have an MT4 which seems to work fine for me but is lacking some stuff that I regret not getting the 4S to begin with. The two biggies being the backlight and the SSL.
Now comes along the MTS! It has the SSL and backlight.
So my question is how does the MTS compare to the MT4S. Is the 4S the way to go or should I just ante up and get a 12S! I race two nights a week and try to get some practice in a couple nights as well so my stuff is used and I don't think it is going to change any time soon. I LOVE this stuff!
Help!!!!!

What is it on the MT4 that you are missing. Feel is subjective but i would not say the MTS feels cheap. Quality feels on par with the MT4 to me. Of course i had a wrap on my MT4 so that does affect it as well.

I have invested in some SUPER VORTEX ESC/Reciever combos and I think they are awesome but my MT4 doesn't work with them and to me I feel like not having the radio to make the adjustments with them makes them a waste of time to have to some degree! I don't wanna keep buying radios because they aren't cheap! Maybe I am answering my own question!

I honestly don't know the difference between the MT4S and the MT-S. As i am sure you are aware it has the backlight and can set the Super Vortex from the radio. If and when i get another offroad car that will be the esc i go with. Assuming the are still around. Seems like an experiment that is not quite working for them.
