Default Is 6.5V ok for a 6.0V Servo?

i have 2 multiplex profi-speed mcv2 servos in my nitro car..they are old school 6.0 volts..is it ok to run up to 6.5v through them? or will they be damaged..

i need to regulator the voltage from 7.4 to 6.0 but the regulator im looking at has many options including is super compact and has a on-off switch

is 6.5 volts ok for a 6v servo?

heres the regulator im looking at

It's fine. I've been running straight 2s lipo on 6v servo and nothing happened so far. Only thing that happened was more torque and speed lol.

I have run Savox 1258 on 7.4. It was just too fast!

Yep, same here. Ran 2 cell Lipo receiver pack for couple years and no issues. Only charged it to 8.0 volts though. Lasted all day w/out recharging.

If it works fine for the one does not say it is safe to use for the other, many people have experienced failures with 6v servo's on LiPo. The starting voltage is 8.4v!!!!

But yes a full charged NiMh is also giving 7.2 volt at the start and a good pack will give 6.2 volt, that is why LiFe is also a safe choice.

Better to have higher end TX. Servo speed variable for Servos on TX. I would think slower speed lower voltage.
Servo manufactures Servos run in efficiency 4-6v. We find by experience what servos to purchase or what Radio systems we use.

Sorry to hijack an older thread (but it looks like it's dormant now anyway)...

I'm in need of similar advice, I need to run a low profile servo on my F1 car, but the only servos that I can find that fit my form factor requirements are not rated at 7.4V (IP Lipo 5000mh and Hobbywing XERUN XR10 Justock Sensored Brushless ESC).

I have run a handful of times a Savox SC-1256TG (only listed as 6V which I have literally only just realised) but its simply too large for an F1 body in its required configuration.

Is running a lower Voltage servo to the output of the ESC and battery ok as bypass911 suggests? Or do I need something else?

Sorry I'm only just getting a handle on higher end RC cars...

Your Hobbywing Justock has a 6V BEC so you'll be fine.

Get a LiFe pack instead of a LiPo if it is about a receiver pack.
