Wire extensions for servos

I have a Futaba S9452 where the wire doesn't reach to where the receiver is going in a little nitro 4x4.

I got a 8" Futaba wire extension for it to reach. It really only needs about 4 or 5 inches but 8 was the closest i could find.

The battery is a Duratrax 1600 MAH Nimh 5 cell flat pack.

Is using the extension going to be OK?

Or is it going to give me problems like resistance or slow signal or anything like that?

I've never used an extension before so I don't know what to expect and it's going to my throttle/brake servo.

The extension is fine.

How well do you solder? Are you comfortable taking apart servos? For about 10 yrs I've been customizing the length of servo wiring. Making a clean install. Soldering cable to length and crimping plugs, Airtronics and Futaba, Cars and Aircraft. Being a hobbyist you find what easier. Extension maybe cumbersome and zip ties I am into. Photos of my extension kit I put together. Aircraft you to customize especially Jets. I does look cleaner installs.
