thanks I gave it a try and I saw it went 8.5 amps for about half a second then settled at 6.45 amps. It looks like it's about 50 degrees or so. Esc had the settings you suggested as default settings. So I should be good to go. Thanks for the help.

Norse, any reason for the quad cap over the dual cap on the Pro Stock V4? I will be running one for 13.5T as well. I was going to upgrade to the dual cap over the stock single cap. Any reasoning for the quad? Thanks.

Setting up my Xr10 Pro for the first time. I want to make sure I connect my receiver wire correctly (+, negative , neutral) into my receiver, but the wires are all black. Can someone kindly inform me of the polarity order of the receiver wires looking at the esc head on, from left to right?

From left to right in your photo: signal, positive, ground. Always double-check with an ohmmeter (for continuity between the plug ground and the battery negative lead). Silly of them to not mark these!

I looked at the ROAR test sample that I have in storage. I had thought the total lack of marking was because it was a beta production unit, but I've seen several since then belonging to other racers and still have no marking whatsoever. It's good to hear that they have marked at least some of them!

Thanks for the replies. I think because the positive is the center pin they stopped marking the wires.

Indeed, and also because it is quite hard to insert JR plug into a modern receiver the wrong way... The gold pins are always on the same side...

Hello, I recently bought the XR10 PRO Stock Spec ESC (1S) and WiFi module. When I checked the firmware on the ESC it had 4.1.05, and the APP had 4.1.02, now I mistakenly updated the ESC to 4.2.0.2. After that I updated the database on the Android APP and it shows the database date of 06-08-17 but the firmware shows 4.2.0.2 and not the latest update 4.1.05.

How do I get the latest firmware to show up on the app? Can I copy the "CAR_ESC_settings.db3" from the windows app to one of the Hobbywing folders on the phone?

I did a typo. 4.2.02 should be 4.1.02. I believe that is an earlier version.

And according to the Hobbywing website 4.1.05 is the latest.

After closing the App and re-opening it reverted to database 05-24-17.

Many have asked about the colours of the led's flashing on the Hobbywing Xr10 pro,Xr10 Justock Xr10 stock spec and what do they mean 1 most important is the colour Yellow flashing which is actually the red led and green led flashing simultaneously making a Yellow ,the cause of this flashing sequence is 1 of 3 faults Hall sensor damage on the motor sensor board,Sensor cable fault or Rotor not shimed correctly thus a very large gap or a very close gap between rotor and sensor board hall sensors.

I just purchased a XR10 Pro Stock 1s controler.
I wanted to update the firmware. It shows XR-4.1.02 as installed. The only other firmware available is XR-4.1.02-BRCA. What is the difference between the to versions?
On the Hobbywing Homepage there should be a 4.1.05 version available which i can not choose to update my controller with.
Thanks in advance!
