Compatable for 1/8 buggy
 

I have a TA 1/8 buggy mainly for backyard track and bashing,

I acquired a hobbywing 4700kv motor,
From what I read, this motor would not
be compatable,??
I have tried this combo, battery looks hot though, Its a 2s only motor also,

I see SMC Racing has a 1900 motor, and Hobbywing has similar motors,
Are these motors compatible with 3s batteries?
Or is it better to run 4s?

Any thoughts on smc, hobbywing, 3s,4s?

Those motors around 1900kv can be run on 3s but are really meant for 4s, so by going 3s you lose efficiency, even if geared higher.
