Orion VST2 XLW?
#1

Is anyone running the XLW version? They have a black case and lots of ventilation. Claim to be lighter than the regular VST2's. I noticed that every team car I have seen online recently appears to be running the regular model and not any of the newer ones.

Bumping this post 'cause i'm questioning me too about the LW and XLW series
As avaldes, i see that top drivers still using regular vst2 instead of lightweight ones, even on heavy 4wd like 22-4
I also read on a french forum few drivers complaints about getting no brake with the lightweights, isolated trouble or any of you have experienced this issue ??
I get 3 Orion motors (1 vst and 2 vst2) that i'm pretty happy with
now i'm searching for 5.5T to fit my (heavy) 22-4
a 10-15g less will be cool
but plenty torque and brake are the most important
so any help will be appreciated...

I have the 7.5 T in my TRF 417
good temperature behavior about 50degrees C on 35 Air
with 7.7 total gear ratio on a small indoor asphalt track
running 16 degrees ESC timing
butter smooth even without Sensor cable attached
