But did they fix the steering wheel return spring?

They need to address this problem first before these bells and whistles. Cause they mean nothing if the radio is mechanically unreliable.

I hear you and yes, this is being addressed. We changed springs 3 times on the 4 series of radios and the latest springs are pretty good now. But mechanical is just as important to me as all the bells and whistles as you put it so mechanically, this will be the most sound radio on the market as well.

How about a release date. Horizon has it on preorder.

Thanks for the feedback. At $499 retail you are going up against the top of the line from the other mainstream brands as you already know, so it needs to be extremely reliable to win back some of the customers that kind of lost faith in your line up like me.

BTW, is the steering wheel about the same size as say my 4PKS-R, or closer to my DX4S? I ask because the steering wheel feels huge on my DX4S which is fine for my trucks, but too clumsy for my on roaders.

Does it have a fail-safe for the steering? I was astounded to find out that my DX4C has fail-safe only on the throttle, especially considering that the previous radio-- the DX3C-- had failsafe on both channels.

Yes Sir, I understand. It will come with 2 different steering wheels. One is about the futaba/M12 size and one is the DX4R size. It also comes with 2 different steering cams so you can change how much throw you have as well as 2 different angle adapters so you can put your wheel at either 10 or 15 degree angles. The drop down can be mounted about every 5 degrees as well so you can get that lined up where you want it.

hacker... as stated . reliability and true specs.. I lost faith in your products years ago and will never have faith in them again. I purchased a dx3r pro. and was disappointed in it so called performance issues..the frame rate was not as stated at 5.5ms. the steering wheel return spring ..so send me one to test for a month.. not like i dint have $2000+ in your bad radio gear b4.

Hacker07,
Thanks for the info. Been running my M11 w/spectrum module for more than a few years. I've been looking at the other $500 radios but I think I'll give the DX6r a try. Hope it's not a long wait.

Huh, that's very cool. You should note that in your online catalog under "Ergonomic Features" that you will include 2 steering wheel sizes.

Also, is this radio compatible with my son's SR201 (DSM) or just limited to DSMR receivers (like my SR410, SR210)?

Can't wait to get my hands on this thing. Should be an amazing radio. Ryan has literally bleed over this project! The upgradability of this radio along with all the customization to fit personal preference on feel will make this radio second to none.
