Spektrum receiver won't work

I bought a used "new" spektrum srs4202 receiver that won't bind or do anything. The light comes on and just stays one but the bind won't work. I have a dx4s transmitter. What am I missing I tried it on other electronics and nothing works at all

Any help

SRS4202? Are you sure you don't mean SRS4210.

Sounds like you didn't put in the Bind plug

Put the Bind plug in, if Nitro and running a RX pack, plug in the power to any open slot.

Power up Truck/RX

Power up TX, go to Bind, Hit Bind.

Remove Bind Plug.

You need to be clear, as my suggestion is the obvious and it could very well may be you had the Bind plug in, just how are we to know..

It's the srs4201 . And I've tried that. Usually when you put the bind plug in the light flashes. Now it's doing nothing. The light comes on and that's it. It makes no sense to me

Check out the dx4s thread. There's something about a new update that won't allow you to bind to old receivers

SRS4210 is a DSMR RX its the latest version of DSM, not old, it's current. Buddy keeps typoing his RX, its the SRS4210 and buddy might be dyslexic. If its ACTUALLY a SRS4201 then he bought a fake RX

Could just be a bunk RX, it takes some resorses to check. A bud with a DX4s would be big help.

Type srs 4201 in Google...it's real

Maybe you should check your "resorses" before replying....

Thank you lol. Anyway I thought all the new spektrum receivers work with the dx4s

Rac3rX 01-03-2016 01:42 PM

My mistake, relax yourself tho Yosh lmfao & check my ass.

After looking deeper than Spektrum available RX page I find It's one of those "only in certain RTR" RX, Spektrum doesn't sell it as a stand alone RX. A few of those actually out there and are really exclusive for the RTR they come with........ So Chillax

So yeah, my suggestion still stands

RX might be Bunk, need resources to check. A buddy with the same DX4 would help. If he can't Bind to it the RX is Bunk, if he can but you can't your TX might be Bunk

It's a replacement AVC RX for certain RTR, its not ment to be used on a RC that doesnt come with it from the factory, its a Replacement RX not a stand alone.

All the AVC RX cost around 100$

The stand alone is the SRS4210

My experience is more often than not these RTR specific RX CAN be used in other RC, but there can always be a few they don't, Spektrum does say "some ESC are not compatible" with those RTR RX.

Then add an additional step if neither yours of another TX wont Bind. Check a different brand ESC, or at least check that brand ESC for others with compatibility issues. That's only if no TX including others than yours binds

A bud with another DX4s would help out, it sounds like a Bad RX, I'm assuming tho your TX binds with other RX no problem.

Can you return it or switch to a SRS4210 if you want AVC or any of these
