hobbyking esc
Hi all
I'm getting back into rc racing and want get started in blinky tc. Eventually I'm going to buy a hobbywing v3.1 but to get me out the I was going to buy something cheap to get me started. Have been looking at these. Please can you give me your thoughts and problems you have had Turnigy trackstar 120a turbo Hobbyking x Car Beast 120A PRO ESC Hobbyking x car 120a All advice appreciated Scott |
I started racing two years ago using an X-Car 45A, which worked great until I smoked it with reverse polarity.
Since then I've owned at least 6 TrackStar 120a Turbo Gen1 and they've all been terrific value for the dollar amount. When I was running in stock classes I was plenty competitive with folks running some high-dollar gear. There's a couple of dedicated TrackStar/Hobbyking threads out there with opinions, so don't forget to look around there. |
Is there a blinky mode on them?

http://www.roarracing.com/approved_non_timing_escs.php You mentioned in your original post the Turnigy Trackstar 120A Turbo #9192000048, and this is approved. I have used one for both VTA (Touring Car) and Street Stock (dirt oval) with good results. Make sure you get the correct programming box: "Program Box for 80A/120A Turbo ESC", #9192000049. |
Thanks
