Balance plug keeps pulling out of charger

Have a hitec Ultima X2 charger and the balance plugs have no positive engagement into the charger. In comparison, my onyx 245 balance plugs grip a whole lot tighter to the charger- almost too much grip. This loose plug becomes an issue when I use Lipo sacks to charge because any movement from the battery and the balance plugs want to eject. Any help or tips?

Balancing cables are universal. you can find extension or foot long cables. They are available.

Thanks for the tips about longer balancing plugs, but I guess my issue is that the plug easily pulls out of the charger and I'm wondering if this is normal.

Yes, I think it's common for Hitec in general, my X4 is the same. But as said above, just get some 1 foot leads. As long as you've got some slack between the battery and the charger there's no issue

If you're using stock bus cable it could be the issue. Purchase longer cable since you're using Lipo sack. Try RCAccessories.com or Tower Hobbies, A-Main.

Haven't heard of the problem on our end, the included balance board cables actually clip into the socket. You might try to spread the pins apart a bit inside of the balance socket on the charger (do this with the charger powered OFF) if it doesn't stay clipped in snugly. You are certain you are pushing the plug all the way in, correct?

Had that happen before... now I fixed that issue.. longer balance plugs will help so it won't get yanked

On the balance plug at the charger, there is a piece of plastic that would be on the top side of the plug, you can try squeezing that down towards the bottom side of the plug, which will help the plug grab a little more on the balance lead.

If it remains an issue, don't hesitate to send the charger in to us, we can change out the plug for you for better fitting ones.
