The old system had 8, but very few people used more than one. Have not seen any decisions on that yet.

I drove a few laps on a sponsored drivers car and i must say i really like the development 17.5 motor, im quite excited to see how your production versions stack up and might be switching to all maclan motors, there definately wont be any shortage of support at my local track

if they could have only turned that vehicle to face the other direction lol:

Motor looks good graphics and color wise.

Assuming the esc is a maclan one (another dex210 picture shows a Maclan motor but Viper ESC), looks like a black case?

Can you provide any info on the capacitor that would be included as far as what they would look like?

If they wanted to just put their sticker on someone else's product, they could have had it done a long time ago. The motors and ESC's are 100% new from the ground up. The products have been going through a bunch of testing and some are ready and some are not. They will not release a product that will not meet the vision of the man in charge. All I can say is it will not be long now.

How is that being entitled? No doubt they want to and will put out a great product. But, be honest with your customers about what is going on. It has been the same crap for a year, "it won't be long now".

Mr. Hustins has been a reliable source of information on the progress of Maclan product, thanks Jim. I appreciate it. What I want to try is a new 17.5 motor or motors.

It would be nice to try out someone's truck , my favorite track is the same way as far as support.

thats good to know that the whole racing line of ESC and motors will look completely new, and not like retreads of the defunct Viper line up. Will help the product line look like something totally new.

I think its just the frustration of a poor selection of 1/10 esc's on the market. Nothing jumps out as a top esc at a good price point. Either expensive or so so in performace

For me when looking for a replacement to my Viper VTX10R-BE as I wanted something still supported and was curious to see what Maclan would do so it would be kind of interim, after reviewing what is out there, ended up just going cheap with a hobbywing V2.1 and there V3.1 stock spec esc.

I can definitely tell the V2.1 feels different than the Viper VTX10R-BE I had, not as overally punchy, so I miss that. Also miss the high voltage BEC.

But anything I get at this point, gotta have a programming card and gotta have great customer support.
