Budget TX/RX for multiple cars
 

Hi Guys,

If this has already been covered extensively then please delete and point me in the right direction.

Just wanting to know from peoples experience what is the most reasonably priced TX/RX setup for multiple cars.

I am just a basher, and currently have 5 remotes (2x 2.4ghz, 3x AM) which consume a mountain of AA batteries (some 4x, some 8x) and would just like something easy where I can have one (or two so i can bash with a mate) Transmitter and compatible receivers that isnt going to set me back more than a new car.

I have seen items such as the Futaba 3PL/4PL - and respect they are probably an amazing piece of kit.. but for the $500-$600 it would cost to get a transmitter and receivers for my cars... I'd rather spend that sort of coin on another car (Like a Arrma Kraton).

Hoping something for around the $100 mark that can handle maybe 10 or less RX's... or again something with a robust quick bind system (ie push buttons on each like the WPS on your home Wifi).

Get someting like a GT3 sold under many brandnames.

Sanwa MX-V, hands down. Around $90.

Best price/quality ratio, very reliable, waterproof receiver, a lot of model memory, Sanwa quality.

I have a Sanwa Exzes-Z my own, but I have installed and worked a lot with Sanwa MX-V. It never let people down, simple as that. Much better than any alternative in it's price range.

For your own blood pressure's sake, stay away from GT(3) radios....Rebranded or not, these radios are terrible and above all, they seem to lose model memory quite occasionaly.

While Spektrum offers multiple receivers with their transmitters, note that there is this notorious problem with its steering spring breaking. Unless you're okay with fixing it (not difficult to do), probably do what Howard has recommended. :)

I can't stand the latency (lag) that the cheapo flysky models have. It's terrible. I think there are some other budget models out there that do better. Poke around in the forum, there are better options than flysky these days. Remember, as an RC enthusiast, your radio should be your primary investment. Going cheap often means buying twice, or in my case 3 times!

I have a fly sky gt3b that I love. 10 model memory locked. Unlocked it'll do 100.flysky also offers rxs for them that'll run on straight 2s for high voltage servos (no need for bec).I also lipo modded mine. It runs on a 3s lipo

Sanwa vs GT3 = Sanwa, more value for money and no downsides. Way better quality.
