major differences between mt4 and m12?

i currently is a mt4. i like it and have no issues with in. for some reason I have my eye on the m12. is there any major differences between the speed? I know the m12 has more options ( most of which most people don't use). thanks

Feel in the hand and weight. I ran an MT4 and liked it but the second I put the M12 in my hand it felt a ton better and more natural. I like its weight more, the features are something I dont really use and even still use the older cheap receivers in most of my cars

I believe the M12 is a little quicker. Comes down to personal preference but I prefer the feel of the MT4. When I drove a buddys car with an M12. If someone you know has one ask if you can have a feel of it.

I have tried it, i just wasn't use to it, so to me it felt big and heavy. I didn't notice and difference in speed. I did like the feel of the drop down steering though.

I just switched from an MT4 to an M12S. They both can win and are very good radios. I feel the M12S has lots of little "upgrades" that many don't need. The size could be good or bad. The M12 weight is nice and nothing like the older heavier versions. The drop down wheel is nice, but didn't make me think "wow!" What I do really like about the M12 is the race mode features that allow me to change a huge amount of set up features with one click. I also really like the additional sizes of the break lever. My trigger finger feels so much more locked in with no slack when pushing out to break. Also, once you get to know the menu OS it is nicer than the MT4.
I've read several reviews that say the M12 has a more connected feel for steering, but I feel the throttle response is where I feel more connected than the mt4.

Again, none of these things may make you any faster and for the price it's a huge thing to consider. I will say that right now I'd rather have my M12S than another car or the Mt-4 and some other gear.

Combined with a good coupon code at TH the m12S can be had for about $480.Factor in the M12S comes with a LiFe battery that's a good deal over the M12.

Dont forget the MT-4S is available as well and is just as fast as the M12S and faster than M12.

It is a never ending discussion.

The main feature of the high end radios is the low, stable latency frame rates (average).

Factory numbers are 4ms for the MT4, 2ms for the M4S and under 1ms for the M12. The M12S is advertised as 30% faster than the M12.

You have to try it for yourself to see if you want to pay the premium for an M12/12S or any of the other high end models from the other brands (e.g. Futaba 4PX).

Unless you are a serious racer, an M4, or even better the M4S is probably all you need.

MT-4S faster than M12? First time I hear that...

Original M12 is faster than MT-4S and M12S is yet again faster than the M12.

Taken from LRP website http://www.lrp.cc/en/news/news/news/...63daf94531ae62

Sanwa M12 2.23 ms
Sanwa MT-4S 2.90 ms
Sanwa M11X 4.00 ms
Sanwa MT-4 4.20 ms
Futaba 4PK 4.38 ms
Spektrum DX4R Pro (2-Channel only) 5.66 ms
KoPropo EX-1 6.78 ms
Sanwa MX-3X 8.50 ms
Spektrum DX4R Pro 8.65 ms
Spektrum DX-3S 10.90 ms

No posted time for M12S yet, but if its 30% faster, it should come out to around 1.6ms

MT-4 vs. M12S

Here's a very unscientific video test I did comparing my MT-4 steering speed to my M12S. If you jam the steering wheel back and forth as fast as possible you can see a difference with the 240 FPS video.
