help with amb tranx260
Friends:
this is mi first thread around here, i m not a English speaker or writer so excuse my bad english.. In my club we have several AMB tranx260 PT, some of them are battery dead, they do not charge att all, so i would like to know if any of you could tell which battery are equipped on them, and of course if anyone knows how to replace them. One of de PT, has its cover borken so i could see the equipped battery (under some epoxi resin), and it would be really interesting to change it (althoug it may take a lot of work). As i read in some other threads it seems to be a 7.4v lion rechargeable battery, so by the currency exchange in my country they cost around 40/50 usd, quite more cheaper than trading them for new ones. I hope someone be able to help me. Regards |
Hi, Terry from MRT here in the UK, we manufacture transponders for RC and do some AMBrc rechargeable transponder servicing and repairs. If you send me a PM I will try and help with your AMB tranx260.

Just for notice Battery used GP 1,2V NIMH.. 2700MAH with Solder Tabs and High Temperature performance After that i resealed the Pt whit translucent/Transparent Epoxi resin, but not as hard as the original one, so i think it will do its porpouse, and the next time i ve making the batetery replacement i t will be easy to know where to crack or remove the foam/resin/epoxi/fiber or wathever the original or the new one is..
