Help with batteries!

Hi im new to the rc hobby. I bought an ECX Torment 4x4 a while ago. It came with a simple wall charger and a 8.4v NiMH with 2400 mah. Yesterday I accidentally left my RC car on and the battery drained out. Im guessing it completey drained out. This morning was going to do some backyard bashing and I noticed the car would not run. I just plugged the battery to the charger and the charger cant sense the battery so I cant charge it and the battery cannot supply any power to the charger to turn on the light on it when the charger is un plugged from the wall. Im don't want to buy a new battery right now but I was wondering if I can revive the battery and if anyone had any advice. Thanks in advanced!

Take a cellphone charger and hook it directly to the battery for like 30 mins then try again with your normal charger.

If you can take it to a friend or Hobby Shop who has a "better than stock" charger and see if will comeback to life. When we raced NIMH battery packs a lot of guys would discharge the batteries completely and they could charge them right back up.

Good Luck and let us know whenever you need answers. BTW, welcome to RcTech.
