RSX getting really hot while trying to program..

Bought a used RSX andwhile trying to program it gets hot and smells. I have run my 22T 2.0 with a 10.5 and no fan for 7 minutes straight and its not even barely warm. Anyone else experience this?

Used + Hot + Smells = Good time to contact the seller and ask what's what or send it to Tekin and have them take a look.

Check to make sure both of the capacitor leads are still connected and aren't burnt. It's quite possible that the former owner used 4mm inboard battery plugs and reversed the polarity accidently. If so, it will appear to be working, but slowly smokes the circuitry.

BTW, If you see smoke and heat IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM VEHICLE AND PLACE IN LIPO BAG.

let us know how things work out?

Request a full refund and return to seller. File a pay pal claim if necessary. Should not be getting hot while programming!

You should not be able to smell your electronics, something is wrong and my guess is the same as 'wrongchannel' and you bought somebodies problem. An ESC that is momentarily hooked up backwards may work for a while, but the days are numbered and the number is small.

Be sure to follow Randy's advise. He's "The Tekin Man" and can help you decide which way to go if you can't get a refund from the seller.
