Default MMPro

I have a MMPRO with a 4600 Kv 4 pole. Im thinking it may be too powerful for a 2wd short course truck.

Does anyone know if this can work on an indoor track? Also, is the MMpro a good ESC if I decide to go with a different sensorless motor? I may want to sell a 4600kv 4pole castle with a couple batteries only in it if anyone is interested or has any 6.5-9.5t good motors. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips!!

No, no difference at all. The only reason we did a pre-production run was we were limited in some of the parts.

Full production starts as soon as the limited parts hit our dock.

Thanks!

So I ordered a MMX and installed it in an MBX7R Eco and so far so good. The only real complaint I have about the speed control is the flat connector harness. It has popped out a couple times which hasn't led me to crash thankfully. The pro here is that you can replace the ESC wire yourself and not have to send the ESC in though I'm not sure how often that happens. The data collection is pretty cool and I will be playing around with that and comparing how much worse the heat and battery life is on a heavy monster truck. I can't comment on the sensored mode.

Figured since the ESC's are shipping I'd post a couple pics for reference.
First is installed in a Mugen MBX7Reco, second is in a Tekno EB48.2

What gets me interested in this is the sensored/sensorless option and also the yet to be released telemetry and data logging for the 4PX.

Several escs have had the senor/sensorless option for a few years now. Many can switch on the fly, like the Tekin RX8. Dual mode starts out sensored, then switches to sensorless at a higher speed. Monster X still needs an add on to run a sensor wire. Shouldn't need add-ons to make an esc feel better.

Default Battery Compatibility Question

Just bought a new Mamba Monster X that I will be running with a Tekin T8 1900kv motor (sensored). This combo will be running in a Ofna SS 1/8 buggy. I am wondering if I can use some high "c" 70c 7000mah *2s* lipo packs. I am worried about frying esc motor or battery. Will this battery be enough, or do I absolutely have to get 4s. ESC is rated 2s to 6s. Thanks couldn't find anything with an answer for this (lots and lots of threads)

When people run 2s on a 1/8th buggy they usually run a short course motor. With the T8 1900 motor I would suspect it will be under powered. Also on 2s it limits your run times way down and get hot. If you can get a hold of a 4s pack I would go that route.

Or you can use two of the 2S packs in series to make the common 4S voltage, since you apparently have more than one. It's not uncommon. Just need to be careful with run time, if the packs differ in actual capacity which can occur for a variety of reasons, one of the packs can be discharged too far and be damaged. The 70C rating is fine for a 4S combo.

Thanks guy. 4s it is. was thinking the high "C" rating would make it possible to run it well in a 1/8 system. My 2s batteries have different capacities and "C" ratings so I am going to avoid hooking them up in series for now.Cant wait to get my Mamba Monster X next week. Hopefully I can give some insight.

Anyone running a 4x sct with this?
I want to push an MIP Pro4 w a 4500 - 4700 motor.
Ive used a MMP in the past and its really not up to a 4x sct.
I like the looks of this speedo, looking for some real world feedback.
Thanks!

I ran a 2650 on 3s for a long time in 8th scale buggy and was very competitive at my local mid sized track . It wasn't until I ran on a giant track that I noticed the lack of power/top speed.

Nice, mostly smaller technical tracks where I live. straight away's but not very long 1900kv motor is badass but 4s is expensive. so thinking of selling my 1900 and getting a 2650. Thanks
