iCharger 206b work for my needs?
Hi guys,
I'm new to the RC scene and have ordered a pair of LIPO batteries from SPC, specifically the 5600mAh, 60C, 2S, 7.4V Soft-Case SPC batteries. I'm in the market for a charger. As it sits right now, I'd like to get the ticket combo from icharger with the 206B. I think this would be suitable for parallel charging these two batteries at 1c right? I'd need 47 watts per battery so 94 watts to parallel both at 1c. 4.2 x 2 x 5.6 = 47.04 watts 47.04 x 2 =94.08 watts (to parallel at 1c) I'd also be charging them at 11.2 amps correct? So in this case, I couldn't just get the 106b since that tops off at 10amps. 5.6 x 2 = 11.2 Please let me know if these calculations are sufficient or that the charger I need would fit my needs. I do not expect to go any bigger than this so please hold off on the get the biggest one you can afford -- this is the biggest one that I cash shell the cash out for now. If you have any comparable setups though, please let me know (I do not want to DIY servers etc, plug and play please) Thanks! |
1C would be 5.6 A per battery, so 11.2 total - you are correct. The charger can charge at 20A, so you are good there.
The charger combo you selected and technically should give you plenty of overhead if you are OK with 1C charge rates. |
Great. thanks for the reply. I've placed my order
