Spektrum DX4C Binding Help

I've read the directions still won't bind. Someone told me if there is a wireless internet connection near by it won't bind. Really where isn't there a wireless internet connection? I find that some what hard to believe anyway. Have no idea how to make this bind Don't even know if anyone can explain it on here. Well thanks anyway if you want to try,

Do you have a 2nd receiver to try ?
which receiver are you trying to bind ? any lights ?

Same results both receivers srs4210 I get a blink orange light on the receiver. The book says it should be solid orange meaning it binded.

So you get no change after going to bind on transmitter and giving throttle, brake , right ,left ?
If not getting any lights on receiver after trying to bind could bind plug be bad ?

Assuming you are doing everything right it may be the transmitter having an issue.

I would say try to update the firmware on it, that may iron out a glitch if it is a software problem.

Other than that, find somebody with a working spektrum and verify that they can bind to your receivers. Also would not hurt to have another set of hands do the bind ritual. Not likely that you got two bad receivers.

Can we assume you are using the bind plug?

Well after 2+ hours on hold Horizon Tech support did get it to bind. HOWEVER, NO throttle control functions. I have a castle system and they have NO IDEA how to make that work yet the steering works. Now I have to wait till Monday to call Castle and hopefully they will be able to help me.

Ok good ya got it to bind Now

QUICK START GUIDE
1. Solder a high quality battery connector to the ESC.
2. Mount the ESC and motor into the vehicle.
3. Plug in the 3 motor wires to the 3 motor wires on the ESC, or into the gold bullet connectors on your ESC.
4. Plug in the ESC Rx lead to the throttle channel (#2) on your receiver.
5. Make sure the ESC’s switch is off. NOTE: if no switch is present skip to step #7.
6. Plug in a battery.
7. Holding full throttle on your transmitter, turn the switch ON. NOTE: if your ESC does not have a switch, hold full throttle on your transmitter
before plugging in the battery.
A. After a few seconds you’ll hear multiple tones and the red LED will come on with a single continuous beep.
B. Now hold full brake and after a few seconds you’ll hear multiple tones and the yellow LED will come on with a single continuous beep.
C. Now relax to neutral and after a few seconds you’ll hear multiple tones and ALL the LEDs will light up.
D. A few seconds later the ESC will arm with a double tone and yellow LED. You’re ready to go!

That should set ya going , So what was the problem with getting the receiver to bind ?

As hard as it may seem to believe it was wireless internet connection. Shut it off and boom it worked. Don't you just love this high tech.
THANK YOU Strykerakamack that did the trick! Every thing is beautiful now :-)

Kool Good to hear you up and running
Just one last thing if your going to use the AVC you have to bind it twice or it won't work correctly , Bind it then set all the trim settings you need then rebind again and all will be good for AVC .

comish 05-02-2015 04:23 PM

OK thanks will do. Wonder why they don't say you have to bind twice in the spektrum manual ?

Costs too much to throw away all that paper
There is a video from spektrum out about it
