New radio system suggestions
#1

Hi
I'm hoping to get some suggestions for a new radio system. I currently have two 3 trucks and a boat so I was hoping to get rid of all the transmitters and just use one. What is a good system that has model memory, small receiver size, 7.4v for HV servo capability, and settings like epa.
I'm a weekend only type of guy so a $200 system is not likely!

Maybe something gently used...

Mt4 without doubt. You can pick up used well within your budget. Even as a weekend racer (as most of us are) you'll definitely benefit from the investment.

What would be a good price to pay for a used MT-4 with at least one receiver?
I was looking at the MX-V but then heard that futaba has better range than airtronics. But maybe for a surface radio it doesn't matter since it would be really hard to drive a 1/8th vehicle from over a few hundred feet away.

Do some homework on this one. It was recommended to me by a radio guru, and I love it. A little more than you're looking to pay, but you'll be happy in the long run. Comes with a receiver, and extras are only $30-$40 depending on which one you get. You can split the payments up into 3 of $80 each, and you can find discount codes to pick it up cheaper, with free shipping as well. Hard to go wrong!
If you just can't spend $200-$250, they have a nice $100 radio as well.
Like I said, do a little homework on the brand.

I started my RTR upgrade with the RC3S - I initially had some range issues but the vender resent a new one. The shipping on this item can be pretty slow (about a month for me) but Hobbyking has a re-branded version available stateside for even less money!
I now have both and hindsight 20/20 would of just gotten he HK version as the price is cheaper and has a gyro integrated receiver - for more receivers just purchase from banggood. The HK version does link up with non-gyro receivers (at least the version I got)
Either way its a awesome radio that has good reviews - maybe not a great racers radio but great for bashing and I use it at practice days.
