But it's soooo pricey... As a casual racer looking to get back into the scene (local track being built as I type this) I'm leaning towards the Sanwa MT-44 because it's cheaper but worried that later down the road I'll wish I had this one due to some feature it has... Not sure...

It's Sanwa's receiver pricing that makes the radios less cost competitive as compared to Futaba. The FHSS4 receivers range generally in street price from about $75 to $110.
Not a big deal if you have one or two cars, but if you have a few, plus a few bashers, suddenly at five or six receivers you're likely at $200 more invested in receivers than had you purchased a Futaba.

Speaking of menus, do you guys know where the Laptime feature is on the M12s? Can't seem to find it - I get I'll probably have to press one of the buttons manually but it should still be a LapTime feature right?
