Nosram warranty problem
I have been trying for the last few months to get help with sending my ESC in for warranty repair. I bought a brand new Nosram Comet EVO and after I installed it in my car I find out it doesn't work properly. I've had no luck so far as I either get no response from Nosram or someone replies with an answer that does not help at all. So here I am hoping that someone on here has had experience dealing with them and how you were able to get your Nosram product covered under warranty.
What I've been told is it has no warranty from Nosram because it was purchased from Hong Kong and they made the profit and not Nosram. Therefore Hong Kong is responsible for the warranty. But the manual clearly states that "NOSRAM guarantees this product to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for 90 days (non-european countris only) from the original date of purchase verified by sales receipt". As far as I know Hong Kong is a non-European country. I was also told that with any electronics, I can't contact the manufacturer and send it back for warranty and I have to bring it back to the store. But what I'm asking is how and where to send it in for warranty repair or replacement and they won't give me a proper answer. Surely there must be others with Nosram products that needed warranty repair so were they all told to bring it back to the store too? I've bought electronics from Olympus, Corsair, OCZ, and SVS that have failed within the warranty period and in all cases I had to contact the manufacturer for warranty and they tell me where to send it. None of them ever told me to bring it back to the store I bought it from or that it has no warranty because I bought it from another country. I also talked to someone at LRP and I was told regardless of of which country I bought it from, as long as I had the original receipt I can send it in for warranty repair/replacement. Shouldn't Nosram warranty be the same??? Does Nosram really have no warranty?
