Multiple Repeat Issues w/Castle ESCs...what am I doing wrong?

Hey All,

I've got a few issues that seem to be my curse as of late and curious if anyone has thoughts to add before I throw it all away and switch to a new brand.

My problem is primarily with the Mamba Max Pro and the Sidewinder v.2(1/10 version). I had two cars out yesterday and they both have extremely similar problems and to me....neither of these two problems should exist.

(set ups: Mini 8ight-T: Keda 4200kv Inrunner/29mm can Motor, Mamba Max Pro-geared 16/53 with 2s 2400mah lipo 30c, 48p) AND (Hyper 10TT: Castle 1410 3800kv, Sidewinder v.2 geared 13/53 with 3s lipo 2400mah 30c, Mod 1)

1. They cog. I can't make it stop, out of the gates they both want to kick really hard. The Hyper 10TT not as much as the Mini 8ight-T...it's really bad. Gear meshes are perfect, all the bearings are good, wheels are appropriate sized and gearing is about as low as I can go. What's odd is the Mini 8ight-T seems to not care about the gear, wheel size or anything...it cogs no matter what...BADLY.

My version of a solution: clueless.

2. This one did the same thing on both truggies while I was buzzing them around yesterday. Given the MMP was pretty hot, which surprised me given the rest of the set up, but the Sidewinder was warm at most...and had the exact same issue. Both motors were still warm/cool. Basically, they just stopped working. The car cut out and the electronics started flashing all three lights. No servo response, no motor draw, nothing.

My version of a solution: deadband adjustment(wider)? Seems like they just needed to be unplugged, then plugged back in and they both were fine...could it be that easy?
