HELP CHOOSING A CHARGER

I have decided to get a new charger and have a 150 cap on budget, I have narrowed it down to the icharger 306B or the Hyperion EOS 0730i V2 they both have similar specs with few differences.

http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/junsi-i...n-306b/p195168

items that are the same that I like

1. 30 amp charging
2. measure internal resistance ( apparently in different ways )
3. both have a 1 year warranty

I am leaning towards the Icharger for the fact that it does have an internal 80watt discharge capability which should be more than sufficient for 2s packs.

I am open to other options if there is one in same price range or less that has the same or more but wanted to see if there were any opinions one way or the other.

So I take it you have a good power supply already?

Altho I haven't owned a Hyperion, I've seen its been well-regarded. 2 dud 306B's for me, so altho many haven't had issues, me myself, I can't recommend them.

I'm a PL6 owner so all I can recommend is Revolectrix altho they are a little out of your budget. Good luck in your decision.

P.S. Can you edit your sig so its reads "blEEping" instead of "blePPing"?
Unless blepping is what you meant but I dont think so.

I am going to convert a 900watt server power supply for him. At 12v it should do 30amps no problem on either charger for 2s.

jslider.. Id pick the Icharger.. as I own both.. I feel the hyperion chargers have poor software and your charge time will be a long one..
a bunch of guys also run the Ichargers and swear that the use of these chargers give there batterys more watts to draw on when tested on watt meter under 20-50 amp loads.. some say 200 more watts.. also a shorter charge time..

I personally dont use either I have 4 vehicles normally when i race so I use venom 210.http://www.redrc.net/2011/03/venom-2...multi-charger/. on a server ps.. thats 75 amps at 13.8 volts.. good up to 3 cells. but slower on 4 cells..

this is just my opinion
i wouldnt get the hyperion
they are great chargers but for some odd reason hyperion seams to be drying up
(show me a hyperion motor or esc in stock some where in the states)
, hyperion has broken away from the hyperion europe, along with hyperion world aka hyperion.hk where the online manuals are stored say to go aircraft-world and that website will be happy to sell you a graupner on the same page of the hyperion charger

Well I was down and out for a day or two but before I got this excellent input I ordered the Hyperion charger, I went on to amain and put the I charger in my cart and looked at a few other things on check out it said it was out of stock, so I took that as a sign of sorts that I was meant to have the hyperion, I do currently have a hyperion that is 7-8 yrs old is just the a/c d/c 6 amp charger and it still and always has worked flawlessly so I am hoping to get the same good results with the new one.

also I have mcgeeky wildcat that wants to explore the software on it so it should be fun to play with.

The hyperion is a good charger. It will be fine for you.

That Icharger is a beast. You could hook up two power supplies to it.

so far the Hyperion is working well, only down side is the discharge side of it only has internal discharge of 5 amps so takes a while, I decided to make a stand alone discharger that will draw high amps and have an auto shut off that will turn off at a specified lowest cell voltage for that which has been very fun getting that working right but I think I have it figured out now.
