Default is this rotor okay to use 2250kv hobbywing

Hey guys got this motor in a deal pulled it apart to check it to find the black coating is is coming away from the rotor. Is it okay to use. Can all the black coating be pulled off to stop it flying off into a spinning motor.

As I understand that wrap is there to help keep the magnets attached to the shaft. I assume you can simply use it until it fails? But you may need to trim the loose bits off nice and even so they do not stand up under the force of the spinning rotor and become another variable in there.

But in the end, I would not trust that motor for much once it comes apart at high RPM it will make magnetic gravel in there.

I wouldn't use it. When it fails completely, it's likely to lock up, over-amp the ESC and maybe take the ESC out too. Not worth it, IMO.
