Strange Problem Only With Strong Servos

Hi all,

I have been encountering a strange problem with my radio.(Futaba 3PRKA) I have used it for about a year and a half in my various nitro buggies. Recently I was breaking in a new engine and it started glitching really bad. I immediately picked up the car and shut it down to keep from a runaway with a brand new engine. I then just turned off the radio and turned it back on and it worked, for about a minute. Later, after taking the car apart for a pre race tear-down, I re bound the radio to the receiver. It worked, again for about 30 seconds. I then plugged in the receiver to my smaller 1/10 electric buggy and turned it on. It worked fine. No issues at all. I plugged it back into my nitro servos and blam its glitching again. I grabbed another RTR radio system I use as a back up, and plugged my servos into it. They worked with no trouble. I plugged in the Futaba and again it glitched. I did this process many times. My question is, Could the servos I have ( Protec 300t for both) be too strong for the radio? Could that be causing the glitching? Has anybody else had an issue with this? Thanks

So this TX/Rx combo has been working in the buggy with the Protek servos before? Or is this a new combo? What are you running for a receiver pack? Obviously checked and charged properly I hope...

Sounds like it could be a brownout, servos could be drawing an excess amount of juice from the receiver. Never heard of Protek 300T's before but whatever....they could be faulty internally. Different receiver, servos or maybe a $5 capacitor or "glitch buster" as some call it might fix the issue.

It has worked before. Battery is a Venom 2100mah stick lipo and it is charged. I dont know about the servo type. Just what the cases say on them. I think they are comparable to the 150t. Thanks for the advice. I will try it.

I've had the same issues with my spektrum/savox combos in the past. 1 way to get past it was to the glitch bluster as he says above. I run one in each of my cars now as a precaution. What I also found to be the issue was a bad receiver though as well.

Hmmmm. Its a fairly new receiver since I had one fry with a lipo fire in a 1/10th buggy
