Transmitter not responding

So I have a Duratrax 835 E RTR w/ a Duratrax remote - I use a Trakpower 5600 4 cell, which was charged and balanced. The remote has fresh Energizer Lithium Ultimate.

The transmitter was giving me trouble so it was sent back to Duratrax along with the ESC. Removal of the parts went fine. The new ESC and transmitter came, installation went fine...

Upon turing on the car last night the transmitter would act exactly as the re-binding instructions indicate. (page 7 of the below link - PDF)

Unfortunately I was unable to connect after several attempts. This evening I went to try another method that was suggested in the 835E thread however this time the transmitter would not even turn on?

Any input it greatly appreciated.

Sounds like no power to the transmitter, maybe low power when first tried?

Check the batteries with a voltmeter. Just because they may be fresh or unused does not mean they are good. Also make sure they are making good contact. Binding should not shut down the transmitter.

OK, I'll check the battery tonight. Is it possible I have it wired wrong? Black and red to BAT? Could I have done something to kill the transmitter?

Do you have the ESC and the servo plugged into the right ports of your reciever ? And correctly ?
