ESC Suggestions

I have a Castle Creations 1415 2400kv (5s LIPO Max) that I'm looking to run on 3s in a Rustler. Now Im sure most people would just say get the Mamba Max Pro ESC and be done with it but, I am looking for a few different options. Sadly enough I have never had the opportunity to Run some of the well known options like Tekin, HobbyWing Novak, Orion etc etc. Nor do I have a clue with models would suit this motor correctly. Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The skyrc Toro 150A would suffice as well. I just ordered one to run with a 1900kV motor that I plan to run in a yeti XL once I can afford the kit. I also have a Mamba Max Pro, which is an awesome ESC as well but is definitely more expensive. That motor would be a bit overkill for a Rustler. You could sell that one and get yourself an 80A ESC and ~4000kV motor and have plenty of power. My friend has a stampede with the sidewinder SCT and the 3800kV motor and it flies on 2S. The Rustler is light, so you have numerous options.

I currently have a sidewinder v3 with 4600kv in the rusty now. I stumbled into this 1415 motor and a 1515. I'm looking to finish out this build though, eventually making it to at least 80 MPH. everything is in order. I was just wanting to try something new and then put in the MMM / 1515 - 1/8 scale. I will be putting whichever new ESC and 141( motor into my sons p2de then.

So would a HobbyWing Xerun 150amp work just fine? Or say a Tekin RS or RSX?

Mamba Max Pro should work fine. If you want to run that motor with 3S or higher I would suggest Tekin RX-8, the RSX is a racing ESC made more for vehicles under 4 lbs like Mod 2wd buggy.

Hope this helped.

The hobbywing would do just fine. My eighth monster truck runs the 100a hobbywing.
