using magnets for radio tray battery cover
 

Hey all,

I would like to install some small neo magnets into my radio tray, so I can have easy access to my battery, and maybe even my receiver. What I am not sure of is whether the magnets would cause any interference with my rx to tx signal???

Before I went ahead and did it, I figured I would ask first before I spent a nice chunk of change on something that will not work...

Next question is, would that be considered ROAR/IFMAR legal for having your battery secure in the vehicle?

Its possible. Heck, anything is possible. Problem is security. Off road cars can take a beating. Even On roads are pretty wild when they start to fly.

I wouldn't be surprised if at one point in time, the cover comes off from a hit or wreck or freak alignment of the stars and planets, the battery comes disconnected and the vehicle runs away screaming ahhhhhhhhhh full throttle until it flips, breaks, hits something or runs out of gas. All because you wanted a little easier access. I know it sucks sometimes and not every car is built with ease of maintenance in some locations, but they are there for a reason. But its your choice.

And that's why I love this hobby so much, the ideas we come up with. :D

My idea doesn't sound as good to me now...HAHAHA

I will have to figure out another way to make it easier to remove my battery after a run, or for charging.
