having a problem linking futaba

Futaba 4PL and futaba R2004GF. They wont link. Has anyone had this issue? I chatted with a guy at AMain and he said they should be able to work but under their description for the R2004GF it doesnt say compatible with 4PL? Any help would be appreciated. They both are FHSS not FAST.

Thanks

That receiver is compatible. But it's only FHSS not S-FHSS. You might need to set the model to FH mode by going into the model memory and changing the mode. Remember you have to turn the transmitter off and on for it to actually change modes.

Then you should be able to bind the receiver with the normal procedure.

This is from my 4PLS manual:
When a dedicated FHSS receiver (R603GF/R2004GF) is used, it will not operate if the RX type is not set to "FHSS".
