Onyx 245 Default settings
 

Does anyone know how to change the battery default settings? I just purchased a used one and am concerned about accidentally starting a lipo on NIMH setting.

The manual states "Every time the charger is connected to input power, the default setting is to charge a LiPo battery at 5 amps." This is incorrect, or maybe applies to newer versions only. Mine always defaults to NiCad. I have found no way to change the default setting. Yes, it's a pain in the butt.

Anyone else have any info? I contacted Duratrax support, but they just said "No". Not very helpful. I would hope I could send it in and have the software updated or reprogram myself...... I would be very disappointed with Duratrax and this charger if it's not upgradeable.
