I don't have any blue wires. I have a red wire which is the far left one in the charger's balance port and all the others are black. Could you describe it in terms of which pin in the balance connector on the charger goes where? For instance, far left is pin one, next is pin two, etc.

Oops, I assumed all balance plugs are created equal. The Outside black wire on the 3 wire balance plug is your negative for the battery. The middle black one is the intermediate plug on a 2s battery (positive side of cell one and negative side of cell two), the red wire is the positive for the pack which in balancer terms is the positive for cell two. Because we are dealing with a 1 cell pack, we need to move the center pin to the positive battery lead and the red outer pin will not be connected to anything. I hope that explains it better.

The results from charging without the balance plug was 4.20 volts but the hyperion takes forever to get there because it charges then checks voltage and keeps slowly charging up to the 4.20v.

Alright, got it to work by breaking off the balance board per your description so thank you a ton.

Now what I would like to know is what pins are those on the actual charger connector? I would like to make up a lead to eliminate the board all together.

From looking at a pic of a TQ 2s balance lead, it should be two of the last three wires on the right. Just need to figure out which two.

It's probably the two on the end, easiest way to check would be to use a multimeter from the balance tap to the plug on the charger.

It is charging solo 1 pack at a time. I have 3 different packs and they all will not peak to 4.20
I can use someone else's charger of different brand and they will all go to 4.20 or above if charger is set that way. As far as I know you cannot balance a 1 cell pack

True you can not balance a 1s pack (it self balances) but the charger needs the balancer hooked up to get a more accurate voltage reading to insure against over charging.

Looking at the pic you posted and my own experimenting with linklesses help, I think you have it wired wrong. Give me a a while to get some stuff done and I'll go look at my set-up to confirm. I should have an answer for you in a couple hours.

Yep, I'm pretty sure you are hooked up wrong. The center wire coming out of the balance board goes to battery positive. Tho other black wire goes to battery negative and the red wire is unused.

Success. With tvc set to 4.22 it peaked at 4.20 (confirmed with separate meter). Kinda sux that it doesn't go as advertised but that's better than the 4.18 I was getting.

Bumped tvc to 4.24 and hit it again. Came off at 4.22. Perfect. Thanks a freaking ton linkless. This thing was about to go up in the for sale thread. I still want an icharger though.

I hooked the positive wire to the center of the balance board where the long black one was connected and when hit charge it says bad balance conection . Any ideas why

The center wire goes to positive. The one closest to the edge of the board goes to negative. The other is not used.

Or if you want to make a lead to eliminate the board completely, I finally figured it out. Looking at the balance port on the front of the charger, the last pin on the far right goes to negative, the one next to it to the left is positive.

Okay, I did as said and with balance board hooked up or bypass the board as said I get bad balance connection after it starts the charge cycle. When I push the start button and when it asked about 1 cell it also will also flash(RIGHT ? ) which must be asking is it correct . Any more ideas?
