Brands that still repair ESCs?

Been curious about this as it seems a few companies don't offer to repair products but do trade-ins.

So, what brands out there still offer to repair an esc?

Tekin and Reedy do for sure. Not sure about NeuCastle (Mamba), Novak or some of the others as I have not used them but if its a reputable company, they should offer some sort of repair service. Some times, it cheaper to replace a unit than repair it.

90% sure novak does. Plus theyre made in the USA! or used to be. Not sure if they still are

Falcon Sekido (Hobbywing) has a repair program. If it's junk, they'll send a new one. They do take apart your old one and inspect it.

Tekin repairing ESC's? Thats news for me....

Every Tekin ESC I have sent back to them from a quality issue on their part, was replaced with a new ESC and my credit card was promptly charged without them first contacting me. It is easier and cheaper for them to replace it and charge you than actually investigate the issue or fix the problem beforehand. They don't lose any money by doing this since they are charging you a little more than their own cost.

I know that Orion (Horizon Hobby) will do repairs/replacements. Had my R10pro go up in smoke for no reason (bought second hand), sent it in thinking I would be charged for repair, but they just sent me a brand new one. Works for me!

They repaired my RX8. The lead to the receiver got pinched and need a new one. I don't trust my soldering skills for this kind of work so sent it in and they installed a new lead, same ESC.
Not sure if they repair more serious issues or replace.

Traxxas will it just costs more most of the time than buying one from an ebay chop shop

We will make repairs to an esc that once done, we can vouch that it will give 100% performance when done.

If we feel that at any point the "repaired" unit cannot perform as good as a new one, we will always recommend replacement.

We make high performance esc's and motors, our customers expect optimal performance from them. We wouldn't compromise on our equipment, and would expect our customers to feel the same way.
