Charger Advice

Ok so Ive been working slowly on getting together all my gear for my 22 2.0. My mother in law said she will buy me a charger for Xmas, only I dont know which one...

Ill be charging 2S shorty packs. What charge rate is important? AC or DC? What features are important?

I had an X4 for a little while and I dont really need a 4 port charger. Id like some thing a little more compact. Id like to keep the budget at around 200.00.

Perfect for 2s shorty packs.. 180$ but you can buy them a bit lower due to sales.. small little and packs a punch.. don't come with custom button and custom charger cable.. I make them :) they call me "wireguy/wireless" lol

/\ a good little charger that my buddy has.

Other option if you are willing to chuck in a few more bucks is an icharger. Best charger I have ever owned with a ton of options.

Thanks guys. Where do you all find the icharger?

Of all the chargers I've had I like my Revolectrix 10XP the best. IMO, it's very easy to use, is powerful, and gives you the possibility to charge 2 lipos (of the same cell count) at once. It's pretty small too.

OMG, not even close. I've had 2 306B's and both crapped out on me within a year.

Should've bought a Revolectrix in the 1st place....3 seasons so far on my PL6 and hasn't skipped a beat. Best charger on the market hands down.
(Howz that for fanboyism?)

Ive recommended the Turnigy Reaktor 300W charger a few times. Its basically an iCharger 206B but half the price.

The X1 pro charger iMarky suggested is another good choice. Not sure who copied who, but SkyRC makes the exact same charger/power supply combo as well. Its a very nice and compact combo. You will be surprised on how small it is. Im currently using the SkyRC RS16 charger and looking for excuse to buy the power supply as well.

I'm talking 406 or higher ICharger.

You really get what you paid for here.

Take a look at the Hi Tech X2. It is very powerful(charges @ 10 amps/200 watts,) smaller, and is $149.95 minus $20 at Tower Hobbies right now, and free shipping. You will need a 30 amp power supply for it though. This is very temping, I need to look at this!

Not sure if the OP needs a dual port charger. Also at $150, hes only left with $50 to buy a 30amp power supply.

You can get the charger/power supply combo from SkyRC for $156

Id like a dual port if possible. Its not a must have but it would be nice.

Im looking at the Hitec X1 Pro and the Graupner Polaron EX.

platgof 12-11-2014 03:45 PM

I don't see the discount for the X2 Ultima anymore. Tower sells the X2 Ultima for $150, the Hitec 30 amp power supply for $110, you would also get $35 back from the total price as well, if a member(cost is $10,) and free shipping. Total cost is $225 shipped. I agree with wanting a dual port.

As far as quality and durability go with Hyperion
