What esc to use?

Hi all I was hoping to get some help. I come from 1/8 e buggy and now have picked up a 22-4. I am going to be running a 6.5t motor on an indoor clay track. What esc will work with this application. From what I understand, the Orion r10 and the v3.1 appear to be the way to go. Can anyone shed some light on this? Will the castle mmp work with this application? Also need an esc that is pretty small as the buggy has minimal room

The Orion and V3.1 are excellent choices. I also really like vipers. Not a fan of Castle but they will work.

I run the v3.1 in a 22-4 with both 6.5 and 5.5 and love it. Super smooth response and never gets hot. I have heard very good things about the orion also.

hobbywing v3.1

The hobbywing v3.1 would be a choice for a ESC. It is a very smooth esc, the smoothest I ve found so far. It can handle a lot of abuse too, they have great thermal protection in you run 4wd. The only downfall of them is the fans tend to go bad quick. You can find them on sale at Amain.com this week for Black Friday too!
