I know this topic is discussed over and over but can't find an up to date thread on it. I have been bumming two chargers off of some buddies and as I am getting the funds, and about to purchase 2 more bigger batteries, I am also try g to buy a dual charger. I was set on the duratrax 245 for a long time but now I realize I want a charger that has a storage mode and can discharge a lipo.

I'm looking to charge two 2s 7200mAh lipos at the same time and roughly in an hour. I'm not looking to spend 200 bucks on a charger or use an ext power supply. Just something simple. I have seen the venom medion dual lipo charger but its only 5amps a ch but not a big deal, might take me an hour and 20mins or so. I can deal with that. Seems better than the duratrax 245.

I have also seen thatany chargers can be used for two lipos when using a parallel board. Does this take longer to charge? Can someone chim in and give some good input. Thx!

It's a little bit expensive, but pretty good for what it is; the Orion advantage touch duo. Does 10 amps on two channels.

Charging in parallel creates a pack with double capacity, and same voltage. You don't really save or gain much, vs just charging both separately.

You could also just pick up two seperate chargers as well.

I really just one charger that can do two lipos simultaneously and maybe take one hr to do so. I also don't want to spend a fortune

About the cheapest a decent charger will come that does what you want. Looks retry good as well.

Best bang for the buck chargers currently are the Turnigy Reaktor chargers from Hobby King. Airplane guys says these are rebadged Junsi chargers.

You should really drop your requirement of the charger having a built in power supply. AC/DC chargers always come at a big premium with sub-par feature sets. Pick up a 12v server PSU on ebay for $20 shipped.

Future proofing in both Transmitters and chargers is always a good idea, on other words… buy once not multiple times…

If you're just using it for RC car batteries might be a bit overkill (I use it for cars and heli's). If it's just for car batteries you could get the PL6.

Using my PL8 with a 45 Amp 1300 watt 24V PS (the power supply was 60.00) and a FMA parallel board I charge 4 2S 7000's in less 30 minutes without putting too much stress on the batteries.
