Hi guys, basically what I would love to know is - I need to lengthen my sensor wire from ESC to motor, I am going to either solder or somehow else connect 2 wires together and the question I have is, does each of those 6 single wires making up the sensor cable have specific function, so it is important to have them in an exact order, or they are all equall and the order does not matter. (the calble is 20cm long and twisted, so I need to know whether to spend hour dealing with the order, or just do it very simply.

Yes each one has a function. But they are all the same from one cable to another as required by roar. Easiest thing would be to buy a longer cable. Check out TQwire for longer ones http://www.tqracing.com/sensor.htm

thanks for a great info, 300mm would be long enough, unfortunatelly I am going on track on monday hence there is not enough time for this. I am from central europe, I guess it would take ages, even if not, it definitely would not arrive before the weekend. I will probably get one, but it will not help me now.

I was in a pinch, had to lengthen one. It was ugly but it worked. Seems like no matter how hard you try, you get one wire that is longer or shorter than the rest.

The sensor wire isn't 'required' to run with most electronics... But is certainly does help control smooth power delivery. If your speed control supports sensored operation you could in a real pinch just skip the sensor wire. Probably not the best idea for racing... But for general practice it should be fine.

well, mi ix8 does support sensored, but does not support sensorless, lol :D .. but solved guys, I changed the electronics layout and now it is long enough..
