ESC to handle bashing

Is there an ESC that can handle nothing but bashing? I constantly jump my RC8.2e five six even seven feet high. Landing on flat dirt or grass. I have taken out numerous ESC's momba monster 2's and the stock one that came in the RTR kit. Today after landing about five feet high to flat ground that is covered with lgrass the ESC died right after impact. Took it to the hobby shop and hooked up castle link to confirm. Is There an ESC that will handle this kind of abuse? Or Am I doomed with my "jump it big or nothing" driving style? My ESC's are always double side tapped and zip tied to the chassis.

Viper VTX8. The guts of the ESC are epoxy coated and in an aluminum case. I run them in both my 4x4 SCT and 1/8 scale buggy. I've even had a rock get stuck in the fan and it just kept going. Water resistant, too.

No ESC is going to pass the hammer test for long.. if you are dying after big air and hard landing you need to pad the ESC. Easy way to do that is to use 3 or 4 layers of good double sided tape... Or sandwich in some high density foam like a cut piece off a flip-flop. Just make sure the tape sticks well and will not detach on you.

If you are running 4s the Hobbywing SC8WP is a tank!

Thanks for the responses. So do the racers pad the esc mounting point to keep from blowing up esc's from the massive forces when flat landing a jump casing a jump? It cannot be any easier on the esc than what I'm doing.

Many people will use layers of double sided tape (2 sometimes 3) for padding. Most of them when the application of the speed control is right to the chassis. A lot of manufacturers design the speed control mounting base so that some flex or cushioning is there.

Also, FWIW, I will put a piece of the fuzzy side from velcro down to the chassis for my battery if it is not in a plastic tray for a bit of padding there. You can go as far as to mate that velcro to the battery, but I do not as it makes swapping batteries more work than I am looking for.

Yes, most racers pad their ESC.

Those most common ways I've seen are to use sticky gel foam, or velcro your ESC (with ziptie backup).

Are you giving your ESC the best chance possible to survive via your suspension? Ideas would be to raise your ride height and use stiffer springs and oils. My rtr came super, super low. Lower than even what racers set their car at for track use.
