If you search on "buggy servo", you should get plenty of discussion on the matter.

This site here http://www.servodatabase.com/ is useful if you have written down a few different servos and want to compare specs.

its been awhile since i've had to shop for a servo for a 2wd buggy. what's the general opinions on speed and torque needed for a 2wd buggy?

Savox 1257 TG, make sure your ESC has at least 3 amps, or use a glitch buster. Spektrum 6040 has a lot of support as well.

150+ oz. and .10 or faster IMO.

+1. If you are a good driver, or just don't crash a lot (gentle on servos) you can get away with 125 oz.
