Hyperion Charger Issue
 

My buddy has the same exact Hyperion 0606i charger that I do. Only problem is, his charger will only go to 6000mAh for charging mode, mine goes to 7000 I believe. So he is unable to fully charge his 6500mAh batteries.

Is there a way so it can charge higher capacity batteries like my charger can?

That is a 50W charger....6A is max on a 2S lipo. Less for bigger lipo's. Not sure where you're getting 7A from.

And are you telling him he cant fully charge his 6500Mah lipo with a 6A charge? You new to electric RC's?

He will also be able to fully charge his packs, it will just take longer since it is larger capacity.

You are likely talking about the capacity setting, which really only affects the charge rate (sets it to 1C automatically) or 6.0 amps for 6000 mah battery. If you were to charge a 7000 mah battery with the 6000 mah setting, it would still charge at 6 amps but take longer. Would still completely charge.

While I don't have that exact charger I do have two Hyperions.

The mah setting will set the charge rate by default. 6 amps in his case. The only way the pack won't charge fully is if it's discharged to the point that it would take more than 6000mah to fully charge. IF the pack is say half charged it will charge until the cc/cv says it's full, regardless of the capacity of the pack.

IF the pack is drained close to LVC voltage and it may take more than 6000mah to reach full charge, and the charger stops at 6000mah, simply start the charge process over again and it will charge to full capacity.
